Gain experience in team building, critical thinking, public speaking, and the application of knowledge to real world problems. Brownies are introduced to the concept of teamwork and design strategies on engineering projects. Girls will record and discuss ideas inspired by Ranger-led presentations and activities and then apply those ideas when they construct their own bridges that are tested for maximum load in a friendly competition.

Parent and Troop Leader: Cost $7 per scout – register through Register through the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois  office. Girls will earn and receive their Building Bridges badge. After the program has concluded, guided tours of Melvin Price Locks and Dam are available.
